Meals for Meals: A Simple Way to Make a Lasting Impact in Effingham County

That belief is what inspired Meals for Meals, a community-driven fundraiser focused on something simple, yet meaningful. Helping pay off student cafeteria meal debt right here in Effingham County.

On May 9, 2026 the Legacy team will be hosting this event at our office at 5805 GA Hwy-21 S., Rincon, GA, 31326, inviting the community to come together for a shared purpose. Through the purchase of a meal or Boston Butt, you are directly helping ensure that local students have access to the food they need, without the added burden of unpaid balances.

This is a local effort with a direct and immediate impact.

What to Expect

Meals for Meals is designed to be both convenient and community-focused.

Pre-purchased BBQ plates and whole Boston butts will be available for pickup beginning at 11:00 AM at the Legacy Realty office. Whether you are picking up lunch for the day or bringing home a full meal for family and friends, every purchase contributes to the larger goal.

Menu Options:
• BBQ Plates with sides – $10
• Whole Boston Butts – $40

Tickets are available now and will be sold through April 30. All purchases must be made in advance, as there will be no ticket sales on the day of the event.

Tickets can be purchased through any Legacy Realty agent, as well as at the Legacy Office, Bank of Newington, Amerus Bank, Bubbly’s Laundromat, Mark Grainger Quality Auto, and Carlson & Co.
